LA Group Ltd is a leading black-owned and -managed entrepreneurial investment holding company.

Since its inception over 30 years ago as a retail operation, the Group became a leader in the sourcing and distribution of branded clothing and footwear products, brand management and corporate clothing.

Following the strategic restructuring in 2006 and change of business focus to an investment holding company, the Group expanded its investment interests into property, financial services, telecommunications and ICT-related businesses both locally and internationally.

A three-tiered approach forms the basis of the investment strategy, with the key driver of every investment being how the Group, with its operational, brand and management experience, can add value to the company invested in. The Group is committed to working with every partner to maximise their growth and profitability, thus impacting positively on the investment partnership.

The brand management businesses – Polo and the Skye Group – the retail divisions – Polo  IBO – and the corporate clothing unit – Carter Harris are all 100%-owned operating companies. The group has also purchased and is currently operating a hospitality unit – Griffin House Hotel, in the United Kingdom.
